The Work
Since Quickbooks is the machine doing the heavy lifting for businesses behind the scenes, we pitched building a desktop Rube Goldberg machine where a buzzing phone would set off a domino-effect of desktop hijinks—ultimately releasing a celebration of Quickbooks green balloons and confetti.
Decking out our set in brand-appropriate monochromatic green, we sneakily added in some easter eggs (spokesceleb Danny DeVito on the wall calendar, Quickbooks logos and stickers slapped onto office equipment, and of course—a colleague's dog portrait).
Constructing the mechanics of the course with a team of 3 others, we laughed, we defied physics, and somehow managed to burn out 3 oscillating fan motors in the process. I wish every project let me build contraptions!
The Brief
Quickbooks sought a memorable way to celebrate reaching their 4 Million Customer Milestone via engaging bespoke social content.
Impact
• Increased social enagement across all social channels and brought levity to a product that historically hadn't received high leves of user engagement despite its wide adoption
