Event Collateral

The Work

From wedding invitation suites to Halloween at Walt Disney's Storybook Mansion—I love working on event invitations, menus, save the dates, and other themed collateral.

My background in venue management comes in clutch as I'm well-versed in the sometimes-daunting etiquette rituals of wedding invitation suites, considerations for signage at live events, and how to pull off a flawless event where every detail is carefully considered.

And of course—I compulsively proofread every piece of the project before it goes to print.

Art Deco Winter Wedding Suite

My wedding clients chose a charming 1920s mansion in New England for the site of their wedding, and requested a wedding save the date and invitation suite to match the historic art deco aesthetic of the property.

Inspired by the groom's military dress uniform—we developed a gold, navy, and cream color palette that perfectly complemented the rich carved wood and stone accents of the stately venue. The detailed art deco-inspired pattern, swash-heavy script, and ornate letters of the save the date and invitation served as a beautiful accompaniment to the couple's rings and wedding accessories in the formal flat lay shots.

Day-of details included a hand-lettered welcome sign and custom gold-leaf detailing and ink calligraphy on the deckled table number cards.

Spooky Pool Party 40th

A goth-minded bestie turning 40 wants to throw a pool party, but needs help planning and decorating? I am in.

I created a digital invitation, day-of signage, a bat balloon-festooned photo op complete with hand-painted spooky props, an apothecary-themed creepy candy bar, coffin-shaped charcuterie, and the moodiest goth flower details.

Best of all, I created a custom repeat pattern of the birthday girl's favorites: parasols, ouija planchettes, skeleton keys, serpents, skeleton flamingos, daggers, poison vials, and all things macabre and mystical. This pattern was applied to custom koozie favors, the invitation, and a selection of bespoke temporary tattoos.

Walt Disney’s Storybook Mansion: Halloween Cabaret

When the Disney Villains cookbook author needs you to whip up some ethereal signage for a once-in-a-lifetime event at the Walt Disney Storybook Mansion, you say "Yes, chef!"

Held on Halloween night, the evening was a haunting look into a mansion where Walt and his family once lived. Featuring on-theme cocktails and hors d'oeuvres straight from the cookbook author herself, a screening of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in Walt's screening room, a ghost tour with the property's steward, a musical cabaret, and devilish desserts to cap off the night—the menus and signage I designed helped set the tone for a night filled with lore and some curious coincidences.

Spot the Disney easter egg details on the signage: poison apple, Haunted Mansion-inspired chandelier and cobwebs, circles of brambles, and quotes from featured characters.

Hosts: Julie Tremaine and Dusty Sage (MiceChat)
